- Simon Rea – Business Development Manager, METTLER TOLEDO | With more than 25 years of international experience in technical sales and business development, Simon Rea is a recognized expert in reaction calorimetry, process analytical technology (PAT), and chemical process scale-up. As a Reaction Calorimetry Specialist for Mettler Toledo North America, he supports pharmaceutical and chemical companies in understanding reaction safety, optimizing processes, and enabling safe scale-up from laboratory to manufacturing. His expertise spans reaction calorimetry, thermal safety studies, Dynochem modeling, Quality by Design (QbD), PAT, and Design of Experiments (DoE). Prior to his commercial and technical leadership roles, he spent four years in organic synthesis, providing a strong practical foundation in chemical process development.
